Business Plans

Business plans are an important part of making sure that your business is successful. It helps you to focus your mind and can assist with securing finance.

As part of the plan you will consider key issues such as:

•  Identifying your goals

•  Clearly defining what your products or services are and how you intend to sell them

•  Who are your customers, where are they and what prices will you charge?

•  What suppliers do you need, where are they and what costs will you incur?

•  Do you need the help of others; should they be employees or subcontractors and what are the associated requirements?

•  Market Analysis – who are your competitors and what is your Unique Selling Point?

•  What is your marketing strategy?

•  How will you finance your plan?

•  How viable is your plan?

Remember to use the plan and refer to it. Measure your performance against it and keep it up to date. Only then will it be an effective tool to help you achieve your goals.
